The Stitch-It-Awl is a hand sewing awl for safely and quickly sewing by hand mainly medium to heavy materials such as sailcloth, canvas, leather, soft luggage, upholstery or webbing.
It was developed to solve the problems associated with the use of existing hand sewing devices for heavy materials, such as the needle and leather palm used by sail makers.
Made in Australia. | |

The Stitch It Awl is safer to use than the palm and needle, as the needle is locked in the tool while sewing (and cannot slip).
It is quicker, since both sides are sewn at the same time.
The stitch is also stronger as it forms an interlocking chain.
The Stitch It Awl is easy to use and is ideal for in situ sewing repairs, either of sails or of almost any material, when a heavy duty sewing machine is not available or not practical. |
